The doctors and staff at The Medical Centre in Coalisland are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.  We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

The Medical Centre welcomes comments and suggestions from patients and these can be submitted in writing to the Practice Manager.

We have noticed a developing trend where a patient will use a Social Media site, such as Facebook, to comment on the Practice and members of surgery staff.

If you have a complaint about our service, we would encourage you to report this to the Practice Manager using our Complaints Procedure. The Practice always investigates and responds to complaints.

The Practice reserves the right to remove a patient from the surgery list and report them to the social networking site if they are found to have made libellous statements or defamatory comments about the surgery or a member of the surgery staff. The legal definition of defamation is:

'any intentionally false communication, either written or spoken, that harms a person's reputation; decreases the respect, regard or confidence in which a person is held; or induces hostile or disagreeable opinions or feelings against a person'
